For those that don’t know what Top Gun is… Dart Leagues around the Bay Area are polled to see if they want to participate, leagues like the Santa Cruz Darts League, the Bay Area Darts League the SFDL, the Sacramento Valley Darting Association, etc. Each participating League fields 8 men plus 2 alternates (10 total) and if enough woman participate we include a 4 person plus 2 alternatives woman’s team (6 total)!
We then arrive at the venue (usually near the last years winners home) and a toss of the coin determines which two leagues face off first. Games are team 1001, doubles 501 and singles 501 going in the order of best player (determined by captain) first then down the row of players. after the first leagues are done the 3rd and fourth leagues play. It’s a long day as every league plays every other league eventually, to determine the winner who has the most wins overall.
